I love to cook. I love to eat…basically I love being in the kitchen where it’s warm and cozy and good things are constantly being created!

So why Italian food? As you’ll see from my first posts, I have spent a lot of time in Italy. I went there as a naive 17 year old through AFS, spending a year with a host family, who I now consider real family. I then returned home and went to UCSD studying Italian, visiting the Bel Paese throughout (I may have been obsessed) and then moving there upon graduation. I lived there for 8 years and soaked up all the culture, culinary and otherwise, that I could before returning home to build a life with my husband in my home town.

Italian food, language and culture is a part of my daily life and I’m thrilled to get to share it with you.

Cooking is peace. Cooking is joy. Most of all, cooking is LOVE.
